Couleurs d'Enfant is based in France, and sells children's toys. The name translates roughly to “the colours of a child.” We like this name because a child’s world is made up of colours, shapes, sounds, and textures. Toys are not just products on a shelf; they are one way children come to know the world.
The colours in the name
When children pick up a toy, what often draws them in first is colour and shape, and only then how it works. When selecting toys, we pay attention to whether the colours feel comfortable, whether the shapes are easy to recognise, and whether the size suits small hands. Toys do not need glaring colours to grab attention; if they are pleasant to look at, children are more likely to pick them up again and again.
Toys are how children get to know the world
For children, toys are meant to be touched, banged, stacked, and taken apart. A building block can become a house, a car, or a piece of bread. We value toys that let children use their hands, think, and invent their own ways to play, rather than ending with the press of a button. Toys with simple play patterns often stay with a child longer.
How we choose toys
We look at the suitable age range, materials, dimensions, and small-parts warnings, and we also consider whether a toy is easy to clean and stands up to repeated use. Children of different ages have different abilities; a toy that matches the child’s stage is one that can actually be played with. We offer various children’s toys suitable for everyday play, birthday gifts, and holiday gifts.
When you are not sure
Whether a toy suits a child can be hard to judge from pictures alone. You can tell us the child’s age, the intended use, and your specific questions, and we will reply by phone or email during service hours. Inquiries and after-sales requests are handled during service hours, and we aim to give clear answers. Confirming beforehand is often easier than dealing with a purchase that turns out not to fit.
